We may not think about palliative care until we get older, but it is something that can affect us all at some stage, whether as a patient, carer, family member or friend.
Anglicare’s approach to palliative care is about providing comfort and quality of life - supporting the person physically, emotionally and spiritually through the last months. We are here to assist with your aged care planning to ensure you have a voice for your future care.
Anglicare has a nurse-led palliative care team who assist our residential aged care staff to provide a palliative approach and end-of-life care to our residents. The Anglicare Palliative Care Team nurses offer a consultancy and assessment service to address our residents’ needs.
Our dedicated professionals including registered nurses, carers, GP’s, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pastoral carers and Chaplains work together as a team to provide care to you and your family members.
All of these people play an important role in the end of life care of our residents to ensure you and your loved ones receive the full support you need.
